I was randomly exploring boreens in northwestern Cavan, a little hopeless under a heavy grey sky and leaden light, when a slab of golden light washed across the fields around me. I jumped out, fired off a quick frame, then ran round to the passenger door to get my tripod so I could shoot with more depth of field. By the time I was hauling it out the light was gone. And that for me, is what is best about the light here.
